Spring brings with it a new freshness and excitement to do something. Getting out to CRC Chapter meetings or with other retiree groups may give you a new outlook. If you have a project in mind you may get help or ideas, or you may be able to help someone.
Speaking of spring, of late more ads are popping up about Reverse Mortgages. In a reverse mortgage, a homeowner borrows against home equity. The loan proceeds can be received as a lump sum payment, a line of credit to be tapped as needed, or a stream of annuity like payments. Reverse mortgages can be a valuable financial source for some homeowners. If you are interested, take advantage of educational materials available on the AARP website at

Carbide Retiree Reunion a Success In
Florida, April 11th and
Saturday, April 12th, 2008 at the Doubletree Hotel Westshore in
Tampa, as have the last four reunions.
